Welcome to Mure Memorial Church

 in Garrowhill

We hope that your visit will give you a better idea of who we are, what we are doing and where you can find us. Our aim is to be a church at the heart of the community, offering Christian care, support and love.

If you have any questions or would like to speak to someone at Mure Memorial Church please       e-mail us on

Mure Memorial is also linked with Baillieston St Andrew's Parish Church. Our minister is the Rev. Malcolm Cuthbertson and the Assistant Minister is the Rev. Alex Stuart.

Summer Holiday Club

We are delighted that we will be, once again, running a Holiday Club for primary school age children from the 2nd to the 9th August. This will be run with the help of Scripture Union. If you are able to offer your help or would like to find out more, there is a meeting on Thursday, 23rd April at 7.30 p.m.

Gardening Team

We are trying to raise a Gardening Team to look after the church grounds. This would entail an hour or two a week - or whenever you are able - to pick up litter, path weeding and just general tidying around. If you would like to help, please contact

Boys' Brigade Long-Term Service Awards

A total of 180 years service has been rewarded with a presentation to Alasdair Borthwick (50 years), John Strachan (40 years), Graeme Leiper (40 years), Lily Strachan (25 years) and John McMillan (25 years). Here is a picture of them with their well-earned certificates.

 New Communion Dates

The Kirk Session has decided that it would be better to spread our Communion Services throughout the year and have agreed to change the dates of future communions to the second Sunday in September, December, March and June.
